One day, the wind and the sun were arguing about who was the strongest.

　　有一天，风和太阳争论谁是最强大的。

　　"It is clear that I am the strongest," said the wind. "When I blow, branches break off the trees, and the waves beat on the shore."

　　“很显然，我是最强的，”风说。“当我吹起来的时候，树枝会从树上剥落，海浪会冲击海岸。”

　　"That's nothing," said the sun. "I am much stronger than that."

　　“那不算什么，” 太阳说。“我比那强多了”。

　　Just then, they saw a man wearing a heavy coat. "We will both try to make this man take off his coat," said the sun. "Whoever succeeds will be the strongest."

　　正在这时，他们看到一个穿着厚厚的外套的男人。“我们想办法让这个男人脱掉外套”太阳说道。“谁成功了，谁就是最强大的。”

　　The wind agreed to go first. He blew hard at the man, but it was no use. The man became cold and held onto his coat with both hands.

　　风同意了，并且第一个出马。它使劲的吹那个男人，但是，一点用处都没有。男人觉得很冷，他用双手裹紧了外套。

　　Then it was the sun's turn. He came out from behind a cloud and shone gently down on the man. The man smiled and took off his coat to enjoy the warm sunshine.

　　现在轮到太阳了，他从一块云彩后面钻出来，开始温和的照向那个男人。男人笑了，他脱掉了外套，享受起温暖的阳光来。

　　"You see?" asked the sun. "Kindness and gentleness are stronger than anything in the world."

　　“看到了吗？”太阳问道。“善良和温和是这个世界上最强大的东西”。
